A medieval village overlooking the Dolomites
At an altitude of 944 meters, Laglio di Cadore preserves unexpected treasures: the small Romanesque Church of Santa Margherita (1205) with 13th-century frescoes; the 15th-century Archpriest Church of Sant’Antonio Abate; and, above the wooden rooftops, the little Church of San Daniele, reached via trail 1328 through historic trenches and scenic views over Lake Centro Cadore.<br>Those seeking more dramatic panoramas can take the easy trail 330 to Monte Bivacco Spagnolli (2,047 m), a natural balcony overlooking the Brentoni, Marmarole, and Antelao mountain groups.
